Transparency does not mean there is nothing

Many salts dissolve into ions so completely that they are invisible to the naked eye. When two solutions are mixed, the new ion combination will fall out of the solution if it is difficult to remain in the water.

Solubility product is like an invisible red line

After the ion concentration product of the insoluble matter exceeds the equilibrium value, crystal nuclei begin to form, and more ions will be arranged along the crystal surface, eventually resulting in precipitation visible to the naked eye.

Precipitation is not just for classroom demonstrations

Water treatment, metal separation, pharmaceutical purification, and chemical analysis all rely on precipitation. Controlling pH, temperature and feed rate can also affect the size and morphology of crystals.
